Flight Time

Information that you need to know before your Flight Time experience with DigiFin

Pricing and Payment: 

The cost is £200, to be paid at least 24 hours prior to your experience via bank transfer (details will be provided).  

Cancellation: 

You can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your experience time starts

Cancellations under 24 hours will receive £150 refund

Failure to attend your experience, without notice to change the date, no refund will be granted

Flying Conditions: 

We will not fly in rain, heavy wind or extreme weather conditions.  We will not fly in dusk or darkness.

The decision to fly/not fly depending on weather conditions will be made by me and due notice will be given

Advice: 

you should dress weather dependant as you will be either sitting or standing still for 2 hours and you can get cold depending on the time of year

feel free to being drinks and snacks

all photos and videos produced by me for you will feature my signature logo

For Insurance Purposes:

the lower age limit for the experience is 14 years old. Children from 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

you will need to email me two photos for proof of I.D.  One must be either a driver’s licence or passport with clear photo and details.  One must be an official postal document within the last 3 months with your name and address clearly shown.  If you are the adult then this should be you not the child.  Bus passes, college badges or library tickets are not acceptable forms of I.D

you will be required to complete a short agreement which I will email to you that you will need to sign and bring with you on the day with proof of signature.  If you are aged 14-18 this should be your adult.

this is a 1:1 experience.  if you bring someone with you, they will be able to observe the experience only and will not be permitted to take part.

the drone will have been flown before your arrival so we will know it is airworthy

you are liable for any repair, damage or the replacement of parts / a replacement of the full drone if you crash it due to a lack of due care and attention / not following the simple and clear instructions

you will be given very friendly and easy to follow instructions on operation which should make crashing the drone highly unlikely and near impossible (*near)

in the event of a crash that is not a technical issue, you will be required to pay for repair / replacement of the full drone within 28 calendar days (not work days)

the drone records absolutely every input so the technical data can be accessed by DJI

For your safety: 

we will meet at public places.  for Roker, we will meet at Fausto Coffee.  for Penshaw we will meet at the main carpark in Herrington Park.  for Northumberlandia we will meet outside the coffee shop at the entrance

I will be wearing a chest mounted camera with video and audio recording for both our benefits.  we both need to be safe and secure that correct instructions are being given and followed 

any experience days for any type of event requires nearly all of the above so please don’t be alarmed.  this is all standard practice.  drones are expensive and should be flown with respect

Extra Info: 

this is an experience event not a qualification or a course.  you will not become licensed to fly an F18 after our time

you may be asked to feature on some ‘behind the scenes filming’ for social media.  Just short fun clips

I will bring two drones, the DJI Air 2S and the DJI Air 3.  we will mainly fly the Air 3

this is aimed at beginners or hobbyists.  this will not be provided to corporate businesses for their marketing department

In a nutshell, you need to read some stuff (above), sign a form, produce I.D, we fly from a public place and if you break it you pay for it
