About Lee Axon

Michael Lee Axon (known as Lee Axon) provides professional photography, videography, drone services and finished editing for commercial, corporate and private clients.

All work is carried out using professional equipment, appropriate safety considerations and with full Public Liability Insurance cover of £10 million.

Drone operations are conducted in accordance with applicable aviation regulations, safety requirements and operating procedures.

1. Quotations

All quotations are valid for 7 calendar days unless otherwise stated.

Quotations are based upon the agreed specification, requirements and information provided at the time of enquiry.

Any changes to the agreed specification, scope of work or additional client requests may result in a revised quotation and additional charges.

2. Deposit

A deposit of up to 20% may be required before work commences.

Where a deposit is requested, production dates are not secured until the deposit has been received.

3. Payment Terms

Invoices are payable within 14 calendar days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

A late payment administration charge of £85 per calendar day will be applied to overdue invoices until the outstanding balance has been paid in full.

No photographs, videos or other completed content will be supplied, transferred, downloaded or released until full payment has been received and cleared.

4. Travel

Projects within a 10-mile radius of Sunderland are generally less expensive than national and international travel for obvious reasons.

Projects requiring travel beyond this area will incur additional travel, mileage, accommodation and related expenses where applicable.

These costs will be advised prior to the commencement of the project where possible and should be included within the quotation.

5. Project Changes

Quotations are based upon the agreed specification at the time of booking.

Should the scope of work increase, including additional filming, photography, editing, revisions, production requirements or changes requested by the client, additional charges may apply.

Any changes and associated costs will be discussed and agreed where reasonably practicable.

6. Video Review & Approval

Clients are requested to review and approve completed video projects within 7 calendar days of delivery.  The client will receive a link to an unlisted YouTube which will be watermarked.  The client does not have permission to screen-record, screenshot or download this video.

Where final approval or sign-off is not received within this period, a project management and file retention fee of £150 per week will apply until final sign-off is received.

The sign off period is not ‘rolling’ after a new edit is submitted.  The clock ticks from delivery of the first edit for approval.

The client gets one set of additional edits free as part of the sign-off process but these changes should not take longer than 1 hour.  Anything longer will be seen as a full re-edit and additional charges may be incurred.

Any amendments requested after final approval has been given may be chargeable.

7. Copyright & Usage

Lee Axon retains full copyright ownership of all photographs, video footage, edited films and associated creative content. The client is only ever paying for a copy of the final edit.  A full breakdown of Copyright can be found on on this website Copyright

Following receipt of full payment, the client is granted permission to use the final delivered content for the purposes agreed within the original quotation.  The client does not have the right to supply others with that content.

If clips of the footage appear inside other edits not made by Lee Axon then a charge may occur to the client for breach of copyright usage.

RAW footage, RAW image files, project files, timelines and editable assets remain the property of Lee Axon and are not included in the agreement ever.  A full breakdown of this can be found on this website RAW Files

8. Drone Operations

All drone operations are subject to suitable weather conditions, airspace restrictions and safe operating practices.

Lee Axon reserves the right to postpone or reschedule drone operations where weather, safety considerations or legal flight restrictions prevent safe operation.

This shall not constitute a breach of contract.

9. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions, site access, H&S, relevant personnel and required information are available on the agreed production date.

Delays caused by restricted access, unavailable representatives, missing information or changes requested during production may result in additional charges.

10. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Projects cancelled or postponed with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation charge equivalent to the minimum booking fee together with any non-recoverable expenses already incurred.

11. Delivery

Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.

Delivery times may vary depending on personal health, project complexity, client response times, approval periods and current workload.

12. Limitation of Liability

While every reasonable effort is made to capture, store and safeguard all media, Lee Axon cannot be held responsible for circumstances outside reasonable control, including but not limited to theft, equipment failure, data loss, adverse weather conditions, location restrictions or third-party actions.

Lee Axon’s total liability for any claim arising from the provision of services shall be limited to the total value of the agreed project fee.

13. Acceptance

Acceptance of a quotation, purchase order, email confirmation, payment of a deposit or commencement of any project confirms acceptance of these Commercial Terms of Service.

A link to these terms will have been sent to the client on email with Lee Axon copied in as proof.   It is the clients responsibility to read them and the client has no legal comeback if they do not.

The right is reserved to make changes, updates and alterations to these terms at my discretion.  I cannot write to everyone to inform them of any changes, just like your local petrol station doesn’t contact you personally to tell you the fuel cost has increased from the previous day.
